How often should my carpeting be cleaned?
Your warranty recommends using a certified firm with truck mounted units every 12-18 months. Hot water extraction is the recommended cleaning method.
Do I need to move my furniture before the crew arrives?
Our crews are professionally trained to move your furniture and return it to its rightful place when cleaning is completed. We will move most furniture that can be safely moved by a two-man crew. However, there are several items we will not move, such as: pianos, electronics, china cabinets, waterbeds, large beds, dressers with mirrors, pool tables, etc.
We do suggest you remove miscellaneous items off of your carpet like plants, lamps and knickknacks.
I’ve heard that once you clean a carpet it gets dirty quicker. Is that true?
No, residue that gets left in the carpet from low-grade cleaning processes is what causes rapid re-soiling. That is why it is important to use only the highest caliber of equipment. How long does it take my carpet to dry?
Factors like carpet material and type or humidity in the home can affect the drying time. It can take from 4-24 hours to completely dry but you are able to walk on it right after the cleaning. Anything that circulates the air helps to hasten the drying time. Helpful suggestions would be turning on a ceiling fan, opening windows or adjusting air conditioning.
Does carpet protector really work?
Yes. Carpet protector is a great product that Syl’s highly recommends. Most new carpet has protector already on it- that was applied by the manufacturer. However, protector wears off because of activity on the carpet for example foot traffic, vacuuming, etc and should be reapplied.
How long do I have to wait after cleaning to let my children or pets on the carpet?
The carpet may be walked on with clean feet or shoes immediately after cleaning; however, Syl’s recommend limiting activity on the carpet to this foot traffic until it is completely dry.
Do I have to be home when my carpeting is being cleaned?
It is not necessary that you be home while your carpet is cleaned. When scheduling your appointment entry can be arranged. In order to provide the best possible service, we do recommend that someone be home before we begin cleaning to discuss any specific needs or areas of concern regarding the care of your carpet.
